The claimant agrees alleges the Crown has breached the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi by failing to: • Provide health services necessary to stem the disproportionate loss of life and loss of good health amongst Māori; • Provide accessible services for good health; • Recognise Māori have difficulties in accessing doctors or specialists services; • Address the high cost of transport and consultation fees; • Address the unclear or misunderstood medical information provided to Māori in relation to serious illness; and • Provide equal funding to Māori health service providers.
