Wai 2500 Military Veterans Kaupapa Inquiry Research hui

Wai 2500 claimants and their counsel are warmly invited to attend a research hui with the researchers of the four projects commissioned by the Waitangi Tribunal. This will be an opportunity to meet the commissionees, receive an update on the progress of their respective reports and to ask any questions that parties may have in regards to the projects.

Research programme:

  • Crown repatriation support for Māori military veterans c.1860-present;
  • Health and social impacts for Māori veterans and their whānau 1845-present;
  • Māori military service for the Crown 1845-1945; and
  • Māori military service for the Crown 1946-present

Time: 10.00am – 1.00pm

Venue: Waitangi Tribunal Unit, Fujitsu Tower, Level 2

Address: 141 The Terrace, Wellington

To assist those parties outside of Wellington or those unable to travel, a video-link will be set up which will livestream the hui. Parties will be invited to post questions in the comments section of the video-link and the commissionees will endeavour to answer them in real time. A link to the livestream will be made available on the day and sent out to the Wai 2500 distribution list.
