Welcome to the website of the Waitangi Tribunal. The Tribunal acknowledges the commitment and work of everyone involved in the Treaty settlement process, including iwi, hapū, and whānau groups, individual claimants and their lawyers, agents and Ministers of the Crown, Tribunal members and staff, and other Treaty sector organisations.

The Waitangi Tribunal's vision is that, having reconciled ourselves with the past and possessing a full understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi, Māori and non-Māori New Zealanders will be equipped to create a future for two peoples as one nation.
